Racing Extinction: Movie and Talk for Earth Day 7-9pm

Racing Extinction, a powerful Earth Day documentary, will be shown to benefit Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation and Wildcat Bluff. A team of artists and activists expose the hidden world of extinction with never-before-seen images that will change the way we see the world.

 

NOTE: This event will take place at Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship,  4901 Cornell St, Amarillo.

 

Admission free, donations appreciated.

The film will be followed by a short presentation by Stephanie Oravetz and Amy Taylor.

Free to members. $5 for visitors ($3 for visiting children over 3 and seniors 65 and over.)

Those Guys (Rick, Eric and John) are a much-loved local three-piece band who defy description, but whose heartfelt, sometimes humorous, often soulful, occasionally raucous and always virtuostic performances have been applauded throughout the Amarillo area from Friday Art Walks, to HPPR's Living Room concerts, to the Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

This is their first time back at Wildcat Bluff Nature since the beginning of June when they played to an enthusiastic full house, and we know you're going to just love them.

Wayne grew up in the woods, as he puts it, "huntin', fishin', trappin', and campin'! He's spent 52 years with boy scouts, 49 of it as a leader and has had more training and experience in outdoor skills than we have space for here (or anywhere!).

Spiders and scorpions aren’t the most appealing of animals, and in fact, people generally fear and loathe them. The venoms delivered in their bites and stings provide justification for these ill feelings.  And who hasn’t felt “creepy” when walking into a spider web?
